The future of sausage presentation by Metten Flieschwaren

Posted in Meat Concepts.

The aroma protection pail in the eye-catching blue and red design introduced in 2009 at the Anuga and honoured with the “taste_09 award” has made an excellent impression in the market. Metten follows up the success of the pack which keeps fresh outside the fridge and is now presenting another innovation in the food preserves area. Tobias Metten explains the background to the development of the product: “Convenience is still the trend as before. Uncomplicated, easily opened packs are becoming increasingly important – especially for the well-heeled target group of the Best Agers and for families who like to have something tasty on the table without loss of time.“

The old-established company of Metten Fleischwaren is aware of this demand and is consequently showing the innovation of “Delicious Country Sausages” with wieners, bockwurst and poultry sausages at the Anuga 2011. All three products are pasteurised in the new Metten aroma beaker of plastic with the patented PermaSafe technology and can be kept for up to 6 months uncooled. The beakers are attractively designed with a large inspection window. This enables the customer at the shelves to see what he or she is buying. The innovative EasyPeel foil makes it easy to open the beaker. In addition, the snap closure known from the traditional “Thick Sauerlaender Bockwurst“ allows the pack to be closed again in case not all the sausages are to be consumed rightaway. An especially practical feature: the sausages can either be simply heated in the beaker in the microwave or in the traditional manner in a cooking pot. “With the ‘Delicious Country Sausages’, we have once again brightened up the sausage shelves “, says Tobias Metten
